Customer Review: Fun as doll & MP3 player
My 6 year old daughter loves to play dress up with her MP3 player. I’m not a huge fan of Windows Media Player, and that’s what you need to load music onto this (I’m an iTunes user). We still to this day, and over 6 support requests, not gotten the software that comes with this player to work. My daughter was disappointed that she couldn’t use the ‘online’ doll (think Webkinz) with her MP3 player. We needed to have a way for her to carry her own music with her and not try to use my video iPod, and this player works fine. The bling value of the doll and dress up clothes makes it a ‘toy’ that my daughter covets.

I had not seen these MP3 players until I was shopping for one before Christmas and came upon them on Amazon. This was the year for IPODs and Zunes for the whole family so my youngest daughter needed one too, she is 9. My husband didn’t like it, thought she wouldn’t use, boy oh boy I love to be right! I ended up buying the gold one because it was the least expensive so if she didn’t use it I wouldn’t feel so terrible and 3 deco packs, the penguin, turtle and panda. She loves it as much as she loves her webkins. The Barbie world is fantastic and like webkins each kit allows her to open up new items in her world and I think she has more choices of clothing, etc on Barbie world without having to spend more money than her webkinz, I find my 11 year old playing with her on it also. The “dock” is a great touch, easier for her to handle and play with. Since we bought this I have now seen them available at Walmart, Limited 2, etc so you can buy different things while you are shopping, but I have to say I payed a fraction of the price for all of my items on Amazon compared to any of the stores we have seen them. Free shipping is always a plus! I would not suggest it as an MP3 source for kids over 10 though, it misses a lot of the features my 11 year old loves and couldn’t live without. My neighbor fell in love with ours and is buying one for her daughters birthday (she is going to be 7).

Customer Review: Shame on you Mattel!
Of all the Barbie Toys I’ve purchased, this is the biggest disappointment. The castle is flimsy, all the plastic is very thin. Mattel should be ashamed of themselves to rip off parents with this level of quality for $80. I share the other reviewers feelings that this product isn’t even worth $30 due to its cheap parts. Alternate recommendation, buy the “Barbie Totally Real House”. That’s the type of construction and quality I know Mattel can produce, and it costs less than half the price of this Castle.
Customer Review: Made In China PIECE OF JUNK!
Mattel, you suck! According to Mattel, the product design and specifications are done in the U.S., which then gets sent to their overseas production. Not only is the QUALITY of materials and DURABILITY crappy, but the design and specifications for HOW the parts are supposed to work and fit together junk.
